A Great Value
Our six-concert series is surprisingly affordable. At $115.00 a season, our subscribers pay less than $20 per performance. In fact, the cost of a year’s worth of Civic Music performances is often less than a ticket for a single concert in a large city.
A Great Venue
The Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium (CMoG) is a world-class performance space. Situated at the western end of the museum, the auditorium was the centerpiece of a $65 million expansion and renovation project that was completed in 2001. It features tiered seating for 750, a full sized stage, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems that are specially configured to create an intimate venue for Civic Music members. The facility is further distinguished by its conveniences. Event parking is free and adjacent to the museum. The entrance and walkway is well lit to add atmosphere to a hassle-free concert experience.
Today’s Top Talent and the Stars of Tomorrow
Whether jazz, classical or beyond, at Civic Music concerts you’ll experience the top talent of today and the rising stars of tomorrow. Musical acts ranging from jazz greats Sonny Rollins, Chick Corea and Leo Kottke to stars on the rise, such as jazz saxophonist Joshua Redmond and vocalist Diana Krall, have performed for Civic Music audiences. Classical performers that have graced the Civic Music stage include the Irish Chamber Orchestra, The Turtle Island String Quartet and the Dallas Brass. Bela Fleck and Flecktones, accapella vocalists the Bobs, and the Boys Choir of Harlem are just some of the wide variety of performers who have created special evenings for our subscribers.
A Tradition of Excellence
For 84 years, our subscribers have come to expect the best from Civic Music’s award-winning talent, regardless of their musical tastes. We are the Corning community’s oldest, continuing volunteer organization.
